Sharpshooter Buddy Boeheim is back for the Orange, and this year he’s bringing his brother – Cornell transfer Jimmy Boeheim – along with him. There’s also promising forward Jesse Edwards, center Bourama Sidibe and point guard Joe Girard, in addition to Top-50 forward Benny Williams and Villanova transfer Cole Swider. Whether or not that’s enough to replace significant production from the losses of Quincy Guerrier (Oregon), Kadary Richmond (Seton Hall), Marek Dolezaj (pro) and Alan Griffin (pro) remains to be seen.
UNC-Chapel Hill has a regional theater company in residence, the Playmakers Repertory Company,[215] and hosts regular dance, drama, and music performances on campus.[216] The school has an outdoor stone amphitheatre known as Forest Theatre used for weddings and drama productions.[217] Forest Theatre is dedicated to Professor Frederick Koch, the founder of the Carolina Playmakers and the father American folk drama.[218]
Brad Brownell has certainly been consistent in his time in Clemson, fielding quality defensive units that struggle to score. The same narrative will likely follow the Tigers this season as leading scorer Aamir Simms and veteran guard Clyde Trapp have departed. Nick Honor and Al-Amir Dawes will be called upon to elevate their play in the backcourt, while South Florida guard David Collins and Youngstown State forward Naz Bohannon are transfers that Brownell will need to rely on to keep the Tigers near the NCAA Tournament bubble once again.
Hubert Davis was quick to win on the recruiting trail during his first summer as North Carolina's head coach, grabbing class of 2022 commitments from forward Jalen Washington, guard Seth Trimble, and center Will Shaver. Wolfpack veterans D.J. Funderburk, Braxton Beverly and Devon Daniels are no longer with the program, while promising prospect Shakeel Moore will suit up for Mississippi State this season. Those are big losses for Kevin Keatts, who is trying to secure his footing in a changing Triangle dynamic with two legends retiring. The Wolfpack will rely on three quality pieces in guard Cam Hayes, wing Jericole Hellems and center Manny Bates. A couple of transfers (Casey Morsell, Virginia; Greg Gantt, Rutgers) will factor into the lineup, as well as some underclassmen such as guard Thomas Allen and forward Dereon Seabron. There’s also a pair of Top-100 prospects in forward Ernest Ross and guard Terquavion Smith who could work their way into playing time for the Wolfpack.
The university's campus is informally divided into three regions, usually referred to as "north campus," "middle campus," and "south campus." North campus includes the two quads along with the Pit, Frank Porter Graham Student Union, and the Davis, House, and Wilson libraries. UNC will face off against Walters State and national runner-up Vanderbilt this fall in preparation for the 2022 college baseball season. The good news for Mike Brey is that he returns the large majority of his offensive production from last season and adds a quality piece in Yale transfer Paul Atkinson in the post. The bad news is that the Fighting Irish have been a middling ACC team in recent years, and as efficient as his offense may be, the lack of defensive production has been a serious downfall. All-ACC guard Prentiss Hubb and forward Nate Laszewski give Notre Dame a solid duo to build around this season.
In 2003, Chancellor James Moeser announced the Carolina Covenant, wherein UNC offers a debt free education to low-income students who are accepted to the university. The program was the first of its kind at a public university and the second overall in the nation (following Princeton University). About 80 other universities have since followed suit.[161]

There was a mass exodus out of Jeff Capel’s program, starting with standout forward Justin Champagnie, who turned pro, and continuing with four transfers, headlined by guards Xavier Johnson and Au’Diese Toney. Texas Tech transfer Jamarius Burton and Femi Odukale will be expected to handle the ball this season, while a trio of post transfers, including top JuCo forward Chris Payton, will be counted on to provide the Panthers with options in the paint.
